Validation for Partnership on collaborative training programmes between Hanoi Financial and Banking University and Birmingham City University

After long time with various meetings, exchanges, and discussions of leaders and educational experts between the two universities, on 11th and 12th January 2017, Birmingham City University (BCU) came to Hanoi Financial and Banking University (FBU) for validation of Bachelor and Master programs.

Participants of FBU includes: Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Anh – Rector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong – Director of Institute of International Education, Dr. Nguyen Tien Hai – Vice Director. BCU representatives include Professor Dr. David Proverbs – Associate Dean (International) – Faculty of Computing, Engineering and The Built Environment; Dr. Richard Jordan – Director of International Partnerships, Professor. Dr. Annie Lu – Associate Dean (International). In addition, there is also the participation of professors, faculty staff and lecturers in charge of international programmes.

Criteria and several contents of validation includes: First, strategic orientation for development in Vietnam and in international collaboration; Second, training programmes; Third, Facility; Fourth, administrative staff and lecturers; Fifth, center of learning material and scientific research of FBU.

After 2 days of concentrated working, Birmingham City University’s validation team has brought to conclusion that Hanoi Financial and Banking University is completely capable of implementing and executing International partnership training programme with BCU with FBU meeting all the requirements of international joint training in International Bachelor’s programmes, International Master’s programmes and aim to International Doctor’s programmes (expected in the near future), as well as ensuring British educational and training standards in particular and global educational and training ones in general.
